KOSH - Wittman Regional Airport
KOSH is located in central Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Winnebago. It is most widely known as the home of the EAA and host to the largest air show in the world, Airventure. For 1 week every year the small Wisconsin airport becomes the busiest airport in the world with many other fly-ins occuring throughout the rest of the year. During Airventure taxiway A is temporarily turned into runway 18L/36R to accomodate the large volume of traffic. In the soutwest section of the airport grounds there is an unmarked grass runway for helicopters and STOL aircraft. Large colored dots are also painted onto the landing runways in order to coordinate multiple aircraft landing on the same runway at the same time.

- Fixed windsock direction
- Improved the painted lines on runway 18/36
- Fixed issue of buildings only rendering at close distances
- Added a few more hangars and static objects such as the line of vehicles by Oshkosh Defense
- Added in microwave antenna along the Fisk arrival route
- Other miscellaneous fixes in the background

- Resurfaced all taxiways, runways, aprons, service roads, and parking lots
- Custom 3D models for the control tower, terminal, FBO, Ripon water tower and grain elevators, EAA expo warehouses (A-D), STOL buildings, OSH VOR, and the bright foam green sheds
- Repainted entire airport with custom lines
- Added/removed parts of the airport that have been constructed/removed since the satellite image was taken, in particular, taxiway B
- Rebuilt Victory Square and the terminal ramp
- Handplaced all taxiway signs which now display the correct information
- Added prominent buildings for the Fisk Arrival like the water tower and grain elevators
- Added self-serve fuel station by the north hangars
- Removed random windsocks and satellite artifacts

Have you considered populating KOSH like it would look during the annual fly-in? Personally, it would be great to experience coming in on the Fisk Approach and seeing all those aircraft covering the airport...something that ain't gonna happen IRL

Finally updated this and tried it out. Overall looks great! The only thing I noticed is the Ripon water tower still seems to not want to load until you are right over it still. Other than that, all the other buildings loaded properly.

I really love this scenery.
Still one thing is bothering me a little: there is a small terrain bug at the start of runway 9 right behind the spawn location on the runway and one crossing the STOL/Ultralight Field. Could you maybe fix this someday?

Your sceneries are some of my absolute favorites! They keep getting better and better. Already love KPOU. Any chance we will see an update to this one? 😀

Thank you! That's actually not a bad idea. I was thinking about going back to some of my older airports and touching them up, now would be a good time to do that especially with the improvements to the SDK.

Looks nice but unfortunately it has pink textures on most of the runways and taxiways :/

Pink textures, as far as I can tell, are either a bug with the sim's scenery cache system or it's another scenery which is corrupting textures by overriding the defaults. I ONLY use default Asobo library textures in my sceneries so if it's turning pink it's something wrong with the sim or another mod messing with default textures. Hopefully that makes sense.

That would be a sim bug. The scenery editor only let's you decide where to put the windsock; the animation is controlled by the game.

I'm quite happy with this, and I'll be using it as a part of an Oshkosh fly-in stream event on 23 July 2021 starting at 1900z. I look forward to any updates that can be made to this, but it's a quite nice improvement from the default.
