This is one of my best reshade presets to date, using various Effects and RTGI to create an insanely Realistic Look. The FPS Impact is Moderate to Very heavy depending on system. This mod attempts to Correct the Brown colors that MSFS introduces By using the Reshade Post-Processing tools. If you like this mod, Please rate it 5 stars.
This Mod Favors the use of The Paid RTGI Shader But It is not Required. Dont have RTGI? I Reccomend This instead
However, if you encounter Poor Performance, DISABLE RTGI, I have attempted to balance Fidelity and Performance with this shader but this is the only real solution
Solution 2: Try using The MXAO Version which has some Intensity Adjustments and does not rely on RTGI
Changelogs:
(V1.1) Fixed Rapid Color Changes in Certain weather conditions
(V1.1.1) I accidentally Put the FinalLight LUT v1.3 mod in there by accident, This can result in a black Screen if you dont have the mod.
NOTES:
Flying at Night? Turn off BloomingHDR.fx this will make the displays readable
Is CinematicDOF not working? Check that Reshade has access to the depth Buffer, which is needed for RTGI as well
Is DOF Annoying? TURN IT OFF!!
For Transparency, Here are the mods used to re-create the shots you see: Fenix A320, Dublin v2 and Weather Preset Pro
Some effects are turned off for some reason, If you need help contact me on discord at Zgamer328#3103

Increase FPS by 5-10FPS by turning off CinematicDOF. The Lightroom setting does very little and just another post processing step needed which will always have impact of FPS so turn off as well. Definitely turn off MagicHDR as not optimized and can cause issues... Recommend BloomingHDR change to PPFX Bloom. Recommend adding FXAA to the following: Subpix (.34), Edge Detection (.17) and Darkness Threshold (.17). This seems to do well with DLSS and allows me to go back to DLSS with not a lot of negative effect from the better TAA. In sim setting change highly recommended as this preset has a major negative impact: Turn off lens flare... Finally, you will have some enhanced stuttering from your current levels with your system with this preset. With the changes I made, I feel this is overall a good preset but could use some performance enhancements as some post processing options do the same thing however have different processing negative FPS impact. I can not speak on this with VR for Reshade does not work with the Oculus Runtime and I actually prefer OpenXR Toolkit for post processing far more than this means for it has almost zero fps impact.

well i am assuming you have your game from steam.
so you need to first download this file and place it in the root of msfs folder. where the exe file for msfs is located.
then download reshade app from reshade website, google it. install it
then launch reshade app that you downloaded and then go on.. select msfs program
then install it, and then, you will come across screen where it will ask you to install the shaders as it or skip or browse. select browse and point it the location where you have placed this ini file in the msfs root folder.
go and install, that is it
next time when you start msfs, loading should take 10-12 secs extra, and it might freeze often, let it be and then when sim starts you will see new colors
if you you want to adjust things or disable certain items, press HOME key on keyboard, press it again to hide it
if you want to uninstall, launch reshade app again and go ahea, you will come across screen asking if you want to modify or uninstall, select uninstall.

Looks quite nice, though it absolutely kills my frames (-15 fps on my machine).

I would recommend turning off RTGI as that can reduced framerates by a lot

Looks really beautiful.
Do you know if it will work in VR?
It should, however I would advise against it especially if you are using RTGI as it can lead to poor performance
