BASIC INFORMATION OF OFFLINE VERSION
- All the GAmod´s aircraft models are edited to be as performance light that it can be.
- All the models have a forced LOD3 level with exterior and interior. It is the most light
- The average performance drop with GAmod is 10-15% in busy areas, such as when there are 30-50 GA models flying around you. In calm areas, the performance drop is negligible (1-5%).
- Because this is an offline version, you can fly whenever and wherever you want.
- The custom-made .bgl´s includes allmost 200K flight plans around the globe, but not every airport is included. The base is Asobo's stock trafficAircraft.bgl, which has 43K flights.
- Asobo has its own trafficAircraft.bgl active in this path: …\Packages\Official\Steam\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic. It must be disabled before using GAmod's offline add-on. Otherwise, there will be Asobo's traffic (43K flights) and GAmod's flights (100K flights).
- GAmod models will communicate with ATC in MSFS.
- There is now optional versions of Military, Blimp, hot balloon, acrobatics and helicopter traffic, most of them by density (HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW). Pick one of those and put to the community folder.
OVERHAULS & COMMUNITY WISHES
This new world overhaul version add traffic to almost every airport in world. There is also military traffic in several military air bases worldwide. And worlds biggest airport are excluded from GA traffic.
So there is 5 aircrafts departing in every airport. However, I did make also extra overhaul traffic (3 more departs) at this point to these areas: Alaska, Alps, Andes, Australia, Canada, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Pyrenees, Rocky Mountains, Benelux countries, Spain, Italy, Caribbean islands, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, UK, Canary Islands.
First test did show, that worldwide overhaul traffic wasn’t best option as single solution. There fore there is that same worldwide .bgl based from asobo´s .bgl. That traffic is modified to be percfect combo with overhaul traffic.
So I will summarize this: overhaul traffic in flight plans from a to a between same airport (VFR). Offline worldwide plans are from a to b (IFR).
How traffic density settings affects directly:
o 1% = one c152 in every airport, that have at least one parking spot
o 2% = c152 and da42 in every airport, that have at least two parking spots
o 10% = c152, da42 and c152 in every airport, that have at least three parking spots
o 20% = c152, da42, c152 and c208b in every airport, that have at least four parking spots
o 3%-99% All the rest
Military traffic Density examples
o 1% = 5 different models in every military airport (VFR)
o 10% = 3 more models in every military airport (VFR)
o 20% = 3 more models in every military airport (VFR)
Special traffic (helicopters and hot balloons, 20K flightplans) follows density 1-100%.
You can wish even more traffic to airports, but please test those airports first with default GAmod traffic. You can wish more traffic by airport (ICAO) here: https://forms.gle/kKiwH7SSp3K1a5dz5
There is also complete overhaul of Finland included. The entire country of Finland has been 100% custom-made, and every single Finnish airport is active with GA traffic. There are:
o Border Patrol helicopters in sea and island areas.
o Border Patrol airplanes near the country's borders.
o Ambulance helicopters flying around the Helsinki area.
o Ambulance helicopters flying randomly around Finland.
o Airforce jetfighters flying between Finnish Airforce bases (EFTU, EFJY, EFTP, EFRO).
o Airforce helicopters practicing around the EFUT airport.
o Airforce Learjet, Pilatus, and C295 aircraft flying between Finnish airforce bases.
o Hot air balloons flying randomly in the whole Finland area.
o Finnair ATR 72-500 flying between current and historic regional route airports.
KNOWN ISSUES WITH GAMOD OFFLINE VERSION
- 3rd party airports could have wrong size of parking spots. For example in 3rd party freeware LIPA, every parking spot are only for 98ft wing span, even cargo area. So big planes would ne be injected there.
- several 3rd party military airbases doesent have taxi paths. Somehow dev´s have deleted those. GAmod will inject models as a statics, but they dissapear when time to taxi.
- there is still MSFS bug, where AI aircrafs starts to "float" from parking sports in certain aiports.
- there is still MSFS bug, where AI aircrafs misses taxi path and starts to wander to the woods. They stops somewhere and could start spin 360 degrees.
- AIflow has a bug, where AI planes jumps to 100ft lower altitude in every 5 seconds. Reported to AIflow developer.

If you run AIFlow, I would suggest that you go into the AIFlow.INI file and start by setting the AICullEnable to 1 to activate it. At least give it a try because it's easy to set up and easy to reverse.

Would it be possible/feasible to split the AI into continents? If we could activate only what we need (via Linker or similar) then we could maybe save on load times and frame rates.

Is there any plan on getting the planes registrations correct for the ATC communication? It’s kind of triggering my OCD when the registrations are not correct to their real live counterparts. In the UK for example Cessna would not have the registration G-283OU. It would be G-AKLI for example.

It seems that it loads the model file from the GAmod1-Models folder instead of the deltasimulations-c17 file, the model file from the deltasimulations-c17 Airplanes folder is also called C17.

Since last update, I've lost most of the "normal " GA.I see Balloons,Military traffic, but only a few
GA, although I set it already to "High" and the AI Aircraft Traffic density in the sim to 23.
Any ideas? It was working fine before.
