The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's C- 47 Dakota was built for the USAAF and delivered as FZ692 to the Royal Canadian Air Force 437 Squadron in September 1944 at Blakehill Farm, U.K. FZ692 flew 208 operational trips with 437 Squadron, and 16 with 233 Squadron. It ended up flying hundreds of individual legs between airfields in Europe. FZ692 participated in two major airborne operations, Normandy and the Rhine Crossing. It carried 298 casualties to medical aid and repatriated 456 prisoners of war. It carried over 5,100 passengers to destinations around Europe, and over two hundred tons of freight (414,368 lbs). After WWII, FZ692 was renumbered as 12945 as part of the Canadian Armed Forces where it served as Search & Rescue at CFB Trenton, ON. This veteran aircraft was struck off strength by the Canadian Armed Forces in 1973, the aircraft ended up with Environment Canada registered as C-GRSB, where it was used for mineral and environmental surveys. C-GRSB was donated to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Hamilton, ON in May 2014. FZ692 has been restored to the paint scheme it would have worn at the end of World War II with 437 Squadron RCAF.

To note: Because of mirrored spline textures, the elevators underneath are Dark Green, but should be 501-109 Grey as the rest of the underside, this was unavoidable.

One of the best C-47 liveries so far! Loved the details of the exhaust, landing gear ans the details that makes this work above everything else!

Great job! I used to be a member of the Museum when I lived over there. Where did you get the Museum scenery?

Thank you, it's a great place isn't it? The payware scenery is from here. https://www.simaddons.com/
Ralph is based in Beckenried, Switzerland but is a huge fan of Canada so he created several good quality airports for us to enjoy, easy on framerates too. I helped him with some details of CYHM, which he gladly put in the scenery.
