CNK4 Parry Sound Municipal, Ontario, Canada scenery enhancement for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
VERSION 0.5 - February 2022
FREE AND EXCLUSIVE TO FLIGHTSIM.TO (If you find this file elsewhere, let me know).
In the default scenery, Parry Sound Municipal exists but this scenery enhances that airport, replacing the runway. As well, it adds the CRL8 Roberts Lake waterdrome which is missing. This scenery update uses information from the internet. Only default MSFS SDK scenery elements are used.
Scenery includes:
* 4000 x 75 feet asphalt runway at 830 feet elevation
* General Aviation parking spots.
* windsock.
* Docks added along Roberts Lake, making water operations challenging.
* telephone poles and street signs.
* 3600 feet waterdrome on Roberts Lake (ICAO: CRL8)
Improvements to come:
* Changing textures to better represent the highways of the area.
* adding proper water to Roberts Lake to replace the existing imagery that is of a frozen lake.
* replacing hangars with better representations.
* replacing other buildings on the airfield with better representations.
Location details of the airport:
* ICAO: CNK4
* IATA: YPD
* Airstrip location: 45-15-25 N, 79-49-46 W (45.256944, -79.829444)
Installation:
Place the folder in your community folder and enjoy - the airstrip is starred and located in central eastern Ontario.
I hope you enjoy the updated area!

@ ARH64CDN,
Nice addon...
Don't forget to update the version number in the manifest.json file.
Here it shows version number 0.5, but shows 0.1.0 in the manifest.

Yes, will do in next update - the change in the SDK made it harder to find where to change this but I now know where it is.

Spot on! Flew up here a few times when I was in college up at Georgian. Def brings back some memories!

Thanks - the buildings do need some work, as I do not think they reflect reality except in colour only. If I ever figure out how to do them, I will fix that part too, along with better water in Robert's Lake.
