This folder contains a repaint for the Lockheed P-38L Lightning by Flying Iron. It shows P-38L-1-LO "Geronimo II", a P-38L that flew with the 10th Air Force in the CBI theatre. Although it was delivered in bare metal, it received camouflage paint in the field. Geronimo II apparently scored four victories over the Japanese while flying with the 459th FS, 80th FG, but its pilot is unknown. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the textures by Flying Iron.

"RAF contract A/C, Alison engined, though both engines rotated in the same direction and turbochargers were not fitted. RAF trials showed A/C unsuited to ETO operational use and returned to USAAF after trials and used as trainers by USAAF"
RAF 3-tone standard pattern: RAF SKY TYPE S, RAF DARK GREEN, RAF DARK EARTH.
I cant post pictures here, but you´ll find enough photos and colour profiles for this specific P-38 in the net.
I would love to see this bird ingame.

Nice mods to the 38. Would you consider doing a skin for "Glacier Girl"? Do you know her story? Do a search...so very interesting. Anyway....have always been a fan...from beginning to restoration. Possible?
