Presenting the PMDG DC-6B in the colours of Aer Lingus circa 1954. Aer Lingus never operated an DC-6 aircraft so this is based on the look sported by Vickers Viscount EI-AFY "St Brendan" which operated with Aer Lingus from 1954 until 1958 when it was sold. It would go on to serve airlines in the UK, the carribean and the US before being retired and scrapped in 1977.
Aer Lingus's early livery designs were fairly minimalist with mostly bare metal airframes and this was no different, appearing on Aer Lingus aircraft during the early to mid 1950s. However, in 1956 Aer Lingus adopted the "Green Top" livery and EI-AFY after only a little over a year dropped this look for the updated design.
