This addon changes the ICAO type designator from "BELL 407" to the correct "B407", while also enabling the use of pre-existing strings, allowing the in-game text-to-speech voices to refer to the aircraft as a "Bell 407 helicopter". (For the provided screenshot, I set my tail number to the typical standard "ASXGS" for clarity's sake, but I've left the default tail number as "BELL407". You can still set it to whatever you want in-game.)
In theory, this would allow for the live traffic system to match this helicopter to real-life Bell 407 flights, but these types of flights do not appear to be typically detected by the live traffic system. Still, if one ever is, it should properly use this model now.
Some other ICAO information was corrected in the aircraft config as well, but I am not sure the game actually uses this data anywhere.
Extract the OboeShoes_B407Fix folder into your community folder to install.
Note: As of right now, a few languages are not supported for this aircraft yet for one reason or another. I will keep an eye out for official updates, and add support for these languages to this addon when they are added officially.
Hmm so since FSLTL pulls straight from flightradar24, it might work with this? I've seen it show a few r44s playing around near private airfields, it'd be so cool if this would catch some traffic copters 😊

I'm not familiar with it, personally, but if it works as you describe, it might.
If it uses the "icao_type_designator" parameter from the aircraft config like the default live traffic system does, this addon does change that parameter to what a real Bell 407 would use.
