EDXF Flensburg-Schaeferhaus, the most northern GA Airport in Germany. This airport-scenery-projekt is running as joint project(*) and it is not fully finished. We will continuously provide updates with additional objects, buildings/infrastructures and ongoing improvements.

The scenery highlights:

• 3D models with photo & PBR texturing
• Updated airport data for stands and taxiways
• Precision placement of edge and taxiway lights based on real-world placement
• Re-done Navaids Fully matched realistic dynamic lighting
• Fall/winter seasons friendly.

The following types of aircraft are allowed to use the Schaeferhaus airfield in real:

• GA Planes
• Rotary Wing Aircraft
• Motor-Glider
• Classic-Glider
• Ultralight Aircraft
• Parachuting

In the real world, the EDXF can only be approached in accordance with visual flight rules (VFR - Visual Flight Rules; at least 1500m view of the ground, at least 500ft cloud base); a control zone and the necessary technical requirements for an instrument approach are not available.

EDXF history:

• 1911 Commissioning of the airfield
• 1914-1918 used as a military airfield
• 1937-1945 used as a military airfield at Flensburg-Weiche air base
• 1950 Foundation of the Flensburg Air Sports Club (LSV)
• 1968 Lufthansa flight school operation. During this time, the three runways were set up in their current form.
